Discussion on Exchange Plans Between Korean and Japanese Representative Private Organizations
The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 26th that it held a meeting with Mori Hiroshi, Chairman of the Japan Chamber of Small and Medium Business Associations, and his delegation at the Kbiz headquarters in Yeouido, agreeing to expand exchanges between small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of the two countries.
This visit by the delegation was a reciprocal visit following Kbiz's visit to the Japan Chamber of Small and Medium Business Associations last October. At the meeting, both organizations agreed on the necessity of Korea-Japan economic cooperation and discussed various measures to expand private sector exchanges.

In particular, both organizations agreed to share common policies and issues of Korean and Japanese SMEs, such as ▲cooperative collective bargaining systems and ▲business succession systems, and to expand exchanges among SME organizations, including industry-specific SME cooperatives.
Chairman Kim Ki-moon stated, “Korea has strengths in advanced technologies such as ICT, while Japan excels in source technologies like SoBuJang; by activating mutual exchanges, we can achieve concrete results between Korean and Japanese SMEs.” He added, “We need to materialize exchanges through memorandums of understanding and spread the outcomes.”
Mori Hiroshi, Chairman of the Japan Chamber of Small and Medium Business Associations, said, “Since frequent meetings are essential for achieving results, the two organizations representing Korean and Japanese SMEs will cooperate to create a collaborative direction that benefits both sides.”
