Prevention of Financial Fraud and Financial Education for Women Farmers
NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 28th that it held a 'Win-Win Finance Partnership with Women Farmers' signing ceremony with the National Federation of Farm Housewives Associations on the 26th.
The association is composed of approximately 40,000 women farmers. It contributes to the development of rural areas and local communities by carrying out various projects and policy activities aimed at expanding the social participation of women farmers and contributing to local communities.
This partnership was conducted as part of inclusive finance and win-win finance for financially marginalized groups. Nonghyup Bank supports members of the Farm Housewives Association by providing free enrollment in voice phishing compensation insurance (coverage limit of 10 million KRW) and financial education, while the association plans to disseminate financial fraud prevention education to each member in rural areas.
Lee Min-kyung, Vice President of the Financial Consumer Protection Division at Nonghyup Bank, said, "As financial institutions' branches are concentrated in the metropolitan area, the risk of financial accidents for consumers with low financial accessibility is increasing." She added, "We will continue to make our best efforts to prevent consumers from falling victim to financial fraud."
