Spring has arrived at Haeundae Arboretum in Busan.
The Busan Green City Development Office has planted over 30,000 seasonal and perennial flowers of 31 species, including Deutzia and Aquilegia, throughout the Haeundae Arboretum to welcome spring. They have also maintained the rose garden and convenience facilities to offer various attractions to citizens.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of flowers, lush forests, and ponds while walking along the multiple trails within the arboretum. Especially, flocks of sheep leisurely grazing can be seen everywhere.
In the upcoming May, about 40,000 rose bushes of over 120 species planted in the rose garden are expected to be in full bloom to greet visitors.
For the convenience of arboretum visitors, the office provides a free electric cart tour service, and both admission and parking fees are free of charge.
The electric cart tour service requires advance reservation through the city’s integrated reservation system.
Haeundae Arboretum, which also has a herbivore zoo, is very popular among family visitors, and since its opening in 2021, it has welcomed a total of 770,000 visitors.
An Su-gap, head of the Busan Green City Development Office, said, “After passing through the cold winter, Haeundae Arboretum is filled with fresh green waves on every branch as spring arrives. Inside the themed gardens, various spring flowers and diverse trees embrace the fresh nature and welcome citizens. We ask for your great interest and visits.”
