Comedian Jeong Seong-ho Parodies Cho Kuk on SNL Korea
Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, expressed his gratitude to comedian Jeong Seong-ho, who parodied him on Coupang Play's 'SNL Korea' Season 5.
On the 26th, Jo shared a short message on his Facebook saying, "Thank you to comedian Jeong Seong-ho for parodying me!" along with a link to the edited video of the broadcast. The video contains the recording of SNL Korea Season 5, Episode 8, which was released on the 20th. In the video, Jeong Seong-ho dressed up in Jo's clothing and hairstyle, mimicking his facial expressions, speech, and gestures.

Jeong Seong-ho appeared on a set designed like a large supermarket and greeted, "I am Gugigugi Jo Guk." Then, comedian Kwon Hyuk-soo, who played Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, chimed in, "He is my friend." Broadcaster Kim Min-kyo, who portrayed President Yoon Seok-yeol, commented, "Someone busy attending trials is coming to the supermarket? You must have given up on the general election."
In response, Jeong Seong-ho said, "I am working hard," and mimicked Jo's signature gesture of raising his index finger with a serious expression, saying, "If we get more than 10 seats, I will definitely judge." Kim Min-kyo replied, "Are you playing soccer these days? What kind of judging? Not 10 seats, say 12 seats outright. Seriously." Jeong Seong-ho answered, "Just watch."
In reality, Jo repeatedly mentioned the need to judge the Yoon Seok-yeol administration during the April 10 general election campaign. Subsequently, the Jo Guk Innovation Party created a sensation by winning 12 out of 46 proportional representation seats in the last general election.
Jeong Seong-ho is famous for his detailed impersonations that go beyond voice mimicry to capture every facial expression and movement of the person. He has previously received praise for impersonations of restaurateur Baek Jong-won and traffic accident lawyer Han Moon-chul, and has skillfully mimicked not only famous Korean figures but also foreigners such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Bento, and Bear Grylls, gaining widespread attention. Additionally, in another episode of SNL Korea, he parodied Han Dong-hoon, former emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, wearing thick horn-rimmed glasses and a scarf.
