Over 60 Antique Artifacts, Including 10 National Treasures and Treasures
Busan Museum will hold the 2024 Special Exhibition "Collector 傳: The Joy of Collecting, The Pleasure of Sharing" in the museum's special exhibition hall for a total of 72 days from April 26 to July 7.
This special exhibition was planned to highlight the passion for collecting cultural heritage and the spirit of social contribution of Korea's leading entrepreneurs who grew based in Busan or contributed to Busan's economic and cultural development, including the late Chairmen Lee Byung-chul and Lee Kun-hee.
The exhibition showcases over 60 pieces of antique art collected by Korea's representative entrepreneurs and collectors, along with 10 national treasures and treasures representing Korean art.

Additionally, visitors can see 10 national treasures and treasures including ▲ ‘White Porcelain Blue Bamboo Pattern Bottle’ (donated by the late Lee Kun-hee) ▲ ‘Celadon Incised Lotus Flower Covered Maebyeong’ ? both national treasures ▲ ‘Samgongbulhwando’ by Kim Hong-do ▲ ‘Hwajogujado’ by Lee Am ▲ ‘Yean Kim Clan Family Genealogy and Gathering Paintings’ ▲ ‘Portrait of Park Mun-su’ ▲ ‘White Porcelain Moon Jar’ ? treasures ▲ and ‘Sapsal Dog’ by Kim Du-ryang ? Busan City Tangible Cultural Heritage.

The exhibition also closely examines the collectors’ passion for Korean cultural heritage and their spirit of social contribution.
It reveals not only their collection of Korea’s representative artworks with high aesthetic standards but also their private funding to build and operate museums, donations of treasured items to national and public museums, and active participation in repatriation efforts of Korean cultural heritage scattered overseas.
In particular, this special exhibition is the first time the late Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s collected antique artworks are displayed in Busan, raising public interest and expectations for high-quality cultural enjoyment.
The museum will hold a “Historical Outing with the Curator” event to enrich visitors’ experience of the special exhibition.
On May 31 and June 28, from 3 PM to 4 PM, the exhibition’s curators will provide guided tours and explanations to visitors.
