Damyang Rural Agricultural Corporation Conducts '2024 Reservoir Emergency Response Drill'

The Damyang branch of the Korea Rural Community Corporation announced on the 26th that it conducted the '2024 Emergency Response Drill for Reservoirs' at Dae-a Reservoir (Daejeon-myeon).


This drill simulated hypothetical situations such as reservoir overflow, slope erosion, and collapse caused by heavy rainfall, and was carried out by assigning phased situations (caution, alert, critical, and termination stages) at arbitrary times.

All employees of the Damyang branch divided roles according to the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) into ▲Situation Team ▲Countermeasure Team ▲Recovery Team ▲Support Team.


Emergency mobilization companies, local residents, and related organizations including Damyang Fire Station, Daejeon-myeon Police Station, and Damyang County Office directly participated and cooperated to enhance response capabilities to emergency situations and to check the organic cooperation system for emergency response.


Kim Geon-gyeong, head of the Damyang branch, said, “As the risks of climate change and disasters increase year by year, cooperation with related organizations is crucial. When an emergency occurs, we will take the lead in creating a safe rural community and a trusted Korea Rural Community Corporation through proactive response based on countless training experiences and response capabilities.”
