The Korea Communications Commission plans to promote improvements in broadcasting advertising and programming regulations so that broadcasters can actively produce high-quality broadcasting content that forms the foundation of K-content and provide essential information to the public.

In the field of broadcasting advertising, they will consider simplifying advertising types and rationally improving rigid regulations regarding the types and methods of advertisements. In the programming sector, they plan to review measures to abolish regulations on entertainment programs and single-country imported content to provide more flexible programming opportunities.

Chairman Kim Hong-il stated, "For the healthy and sustainable development of the media industry, growth in the broadcasting industry is essential," and added, "We will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of the broadcasting industry by improving broadcasting advertising and programming regulations."

Heads of broadcasting-related organizations mentioned the difficulties faced by the broadcasting industry due to changes in the media environment and the need to improve outdated legal systems that apply only to broadcasters, requesting that the Korea Communications Commission actively pursue policies for the sustainable growth of the broadcasting industry.

The Korea Communications Commission and broadcasting-related organizations agreed to continuously discuss ways to strengthen the competitiveness of the broadcasting industry and jointly promote the growth and development of the broadcasting industry.
