Daegu Office of Education Holds Meeting on Employment of Vocational High School Graduates with 5 Companies

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kang Eun-hee) held a "Regional Company Network CEO Meeting" on the 26th to promote employment for vocational high school students and to establish a foundation for local talent to settle and grow in the region.


This event was organized to gather opinions on activating high school graduate employment with participation from representatives of excellent local companies and vocational high school principals, and to explore directions for the development of vocational education and strengthen organic cooperation systems with local companies. A total of four meetings are planned to be held this year.

At the first meeting, representatives and executives from five Daegu-based companies?Georimtekeu Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Chang-won), Iljin Co., Ltd. (CEO Jo Young-soo), Jeonyu Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Doo-bong), Seongrim Advanced Industry Co., Ltd. (CEO Gong Gun-seung), and Zalman Precision Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Kyung-yoon)?along with principals from two vocational high schools (Daegu High-Tech High School and Daejung Metal Industry High School) attended to discuss ways to promote employment for high school graduates and support local talent.


Superintendent Kang Eun-hee stated, "We will continue to cooperate with local companies so that our vocational high school students can find employment at excellent local companies and nurture their dreams and hopes."


The Daegu Office of Education plans to build continuous cooperation and networks with local governments, job-related organizations, companies, and universities, promoting projects such as the Vocational Education Innovation Zone Support Project, Industry-Academia Integrated Apprenticeship Schools, Customized Workforce Training for Small and Medium Enterprises, and Agreement-Based Specialized High School Development Projects, striving to create an environment where talents can take root and grow in the region.
