On the 26th, the China Panda Protection and Research Center posted a 4-minute and 9-second video titled "Fubao's Quarantine Diary 3" on its official Weibo account dated the 24th. The video shows Fubao staying in the quarantine area of the new home, Wolong Zhonghua Giant Panda Reserve (臥龍中華大熊猫苑) Shenshuping Base (神樹坪基地), continuously eating bamboo, bamboo shoots, carrots, and wortou (panda nutritional snacks). Notably, the video includes scenes of Fubao sitting down in the grass outdoors enjoying food and lying indoors chewing bamboo. The center stated, "Fubao, who is still in quarantine, has started outdoor meals," adding, "Currently, Fubao is balancing exercise, rest, and meals, is in good mental (emotional) condition, and has normal bowel movements."

As Fubao’s local adaptation is progressing faster than expected, there is growing interest in when he will be publicly revealed and where he will stay in the future. It is estimated that after completing quarantine, Fubao will live at one of the Wolong Shenshuping Base, Hetiaoping Base (核桃坪基地), Dujiangyan Base (都江堰基地), or Ya’an Base (雅安基地). One netizen commented on the video, "There is a rumor that he will move to Dujiangyan Base after quarantine, but I am absolutely against it." Dujiangyan Base is where Fubao’s parents, Lebao and Aibao, lived, but it is known to have more outdated facilities and inferior natural environment compared to Wolong Shenshuping Base. The center said, "We have not made specific plans on which base Fubao will stay at after quarantine," and asked to "pay attention to the center’s official announcements." Once Fubao’s residence is decided, tourist visits are expected to be allowed.

Fubao, the "first baby panda born domestically," was born on July 20, 2020, through natural breeding between Lebao and Aibao, pandas sent by Chinese President Xi Jinping in March 2016 as a symbol of Korea-China friendship. However, under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), he returned to China on the 3rd and began living locally.
