Gyeongbuk TP Holds 'Funding Linkage and Support Project Briefing Session' for SME-Dense Areas On the 24th, Gyeongbuk Technopark held the '2024 Funding Linkage and Support Project Briefing Session' targeting companies located in small and medium-sized enterprise clusters in the Gyeongbuk region.

The term 'SME dense area' refers to venture business complex facilities, venture business promotion districts, industrial complexes, new technology startup complex areas, knowledge industry centers, and regional specialized development zones as defined in Article 14, Paragraph 1 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Promotion of Regional Small and Medium Enterprises.

In Gyeongbuk, 186 areas, including the Gyeongsan Industrial Complex, qualify as SME dense areas.

At this briefing session, active participation in support projects such as Stand-up customized support and online surveys, specially prepared as countermeasures for local SMEs facing management crises, was encouraged.

In particular, the application procedures for the 'SME Support Fund (C2 Fund),' which will be implemented from the 29th, were explained to enhance companies' understanding of the financial support application process.

The 'SME Support Fund (C2 Fund)' is a support system that allows SMEs and small business owners located in SME dense areas of Gyeongbuk to obtain loans at interest rates up to 1%p lower than those of commercial banks.

Under this system, companies must receive a 'Support Target Confirmation Letter' from Gyeongbuk TP to apply for the SME Support Fund (C2 Fund). The application submission method will be further guided through promotional emails sent directly by Gyeongbuk TP to eligible companies.

Ha In-seong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, “The SME dense area support project should not only provide dedicated support but also link financial support. Gyeongbuk TP must take the lead in cooperating with local related organizations to discover and support linked projects.”
