Jeonnam Public-Private School Education Cooperation Committee Pledges Success at Glocal Future Education Expo

The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 25th that it held the ‘2024 Jeonnam Public-Private-Industry-Academia Education Cooperation Committee Communication Event’ at Gangjin Art Hall.

On this day, the event was attended by Superintendent Kim Dae-jung and over 400 members of the Public-Private-Industry-Academia Education Cooperation Committee. It was organized to build an educational ecosystem in collaboration with the local community and to share the importance of the public-private-industry-academia council for realizing glocal education.

The event began with an introduction by Officer Oh Byung-hwan from the Education Autonomy Division on the ‘Activities and Major Achievements of the Public-Private-Industry-Academia Education Cooperation Committee,’ followed by explanations of the ‘2024 Jeonnam Education Key Policies’ and promotion of the ‘Jeonnam Future Education Foundation Scholarship Project.’

Superintendent Kim Dae-jung held a communication session with the committee members to help them better understand the key projects of Jeonnam education.

The committee agreed that the ‘2024 Korea Glocal Future Education Expo,’ to be held next month in Yeosu, is a signal flare for a major transformation in Korea’s future education. They wished for the successful hosting of the glocal future education expo, the first of its kind to be held in Jeonnam, through the reading of a success declaration and a performance.

Superintendent Kim Dae-jung said, “So far, Jeonnam education has set a major direction for the ‘Great Transformation of Jeonnam Education’ with strong support from public-private-industry-academia cooperation and has been moving forward vigorously. We will continue to open up glocal education that leverages Jeonnam’s unique strengths through public-private-industry-academia collaboration.”
