The Gwangju Employers' Association announced on the 25th that it held a 'Serious Accident Prevention Corporate Capacity Building Training' for member companies at the seminar room on the 2nd floor of the Gwangju Economic Promotion Win-Win Job Foundation the day before.
This training was prepared to support the capacity building of member companies facing difficulties in safety management due to the expansion of the scope of the Serious Accident Punishment Act to workplaces with fewer than 50 employees starting January 27.
The main contents included ▲ current status of the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act ▲ workplace response procedures in case of serious accidents ▲ establishment plans for safety and health systems ▲ practical understanding of risk assessment ▲ guidance on government support projects.
A representative of Gwangju Employers' Association stated, "Small and medium-sized enterprises with fewer than 50 employees still face many difficulties in complying with the Serious Accident Punishment Act," adding, "This training will greatly help member companies actively respond to the application of the Serious Accident Punishment Act and acquire the necessary capabilities to carry out safety management tasks."
