Gyeonggi-do Anseong City is recruiting the first batch of students for this year's 'Cheongryujang' program, a youth space closely connected to daily life.
'Cheongryujang' operates three locations in the Gondo area: ▲Muihwashil ▲Gongbang H ▲Baobab Woodworking Academy, and two locations in the city area: ▲Happy Reading Small Library ▲Cafe Itda.
'Muihwashil' offers a 10-session program called 'Ritual Today in Anseong' for healing through art until November. 'Gongbang H' runs 'Tufting' in two terms of 5 sessions each from May to November. 'Baobab Woodworking Academy' plans to operate the 'Youth Woodworking Workshop' program, where young people can experience woodworking and make furniture, from May to November.
At the 'Happy Reading Small Library,' a 2-month 'Calligraphy' course will be offered from May, 'Beginner Guitar' in July and August, and a 'Picture Book Emotion Coaching' program from September to November. At 'Cafe Itda,' participants can experience humanities and liberal arts programs under the theme 'Youth Meets Humanities.'
The programs are open to any youth aged 19 to 39 residing in Anseong City. Applications will be accepted until the 8th of next month, and students will be selected by lottery. Detailed information can be found on the 'Anseong Youth Portal' or 'Anseong Baeum e.'
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said, "'Through Cheongryujang, we will operate various programs centered on youth demand to help Anseong City become a city of youth happiness."
