Annual 400,000~600,000 KRW for Ages 7-18 Below 100% Median Income Standard
Ulju-gun Family Center (Director Im Dae-wan) announced on the 25th that it will carry out an educational activity expense support project for children of multicultural families in the region.
Supported by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, this project, newly launched this year, targets children aged 7 to 18 from multicultural families with an income at or below 100% of the median income who do not receive educational benefits (50% of median income).
Only those who have acquired Korean nationality and reside in Korea are eligible for support: 400,000 KRW annually for elementary school students, 500,000 KRW annually for middle school students, and 600,000 KRW annually for high school students.
Applicants wishing to receive support can visit the Ulju-gun Family Center from the 2nd of next month until September to apply.
Selected recipients will receive the support funds in the form of card points. The funds can be used for educational activities such as purchasing study materials, using reading rooms, purchasing materials for arts, physical education, and vocational training practice, as well as for certification exam fees.
