Incheon Namdong-gu, Local Finance Revitalization 'One Person One Account' Relay Challenge

Namdong-gu, Incheon has launched the 'One Person, One Account' relay challenge targeting Saemaeul Geumgo and credit cooperatives headquartered in the region to promote mutual growth and revitalize the local economy.

The relay challenge was implemented to strengthen the financial foundation through support for local finance and to establish a virtuous cycle system that can return benefits to residents.

Earlier, on the 16th, the district signed agreements with 10 Saemaeul Geumgo and credit cooperatives to activate local finance and the regional economy. Immediately after the signing ceremony, District Mayor Park Jong-hyo personally opened an account to mark the start of the 'One Person, One Account' relay and nominated Han Ki-yong, Deputy Mayor of Namdong-gu, and Choi Dong-cheol, Chairman of the Nonhyeon-Gojan-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee, as the next challengers.

In response, Deputy Mayor Han and Chairman Choi agreed with the good cause and joined the challenge. Deputy Mayor Han nominated Choi Min-young, Director of Administration Bureau of Namdong-gu, and Lee Gae-il, Director of Environment and Transportation Bureau of Namdong-gu, while Chairman Choi nominated Shin Min-ho, Chairman of Nonhyeon 1-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee, and Kim Jin-su, Chairman of Nonhyeon 2-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee.

Mayor Park said, "I am grateful to the staff and residents who have shown full support for the 'One Person, One Account' initiative started to revitalize local finance," adding, "I hope that Namdong-gu’s local financial institutions will grow together and actively participate in various projects for the residents."
