Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that the second season of ‘Gongmweongeotdeul,’ the top contributor to views on its official YouTube channel (Yeonggune), will premiere on the afternoon of April 25.
Returning after four years since its last broadcast in 2020, ‘Gongmweongeotdeul’ is an official YouTube talk show-style content featuring current public officials who share information related to the public service sector and engage in conversations together.
In season 1, which recorded high viewership, interesting topics such as ‘Are public officials allowed to wear shorts? Tattoos allowed?’, ‘How long does it take to go from grade 9 to grade 5?’, and ‘Moments when public officials feel discouraged’ were selected, sparking viewers’ curiosity.
Additionally, by shedding the conservative image of public institutions, the show captured honest and candid stories from the days of preparing for public service exams to experiences after joining the workforce, earning much empathy and love from viewers.
After reorganizing the program, the district plans to activate communication channels with residents and fully showcase Yeongdeungpo-gu’s unique charm through ‘Gongmweongeotdeul Season 2.’ In particular, new cast members including MZ generation public officials will be invited to candidly share their perspectives on the current public service society with bold and lively storytelling.
Moreover, the district is committed to discovering engaging talk topics that differentiate from the previous season. Through surveys conducted in the ‘Yeonggune’ community on Yeongdeungpo-gu’s YouTube channel, videos will be produced on topics that viewers want to hear, creating an interactive communication channel based on fun and empathy.
In line with changing trends, the format of the videos will also be diversified. The scope of content will expand to include public official vlogs (V-logs), shorts, various challenges, and the district will actively seek ‘killer content’ that can only be seen in Yeongdeungpo-gu.
Meanwhile, since the channel’s launch, the district has continuously uploaded various and friendly content introducing district administration, such as ▲Yeonggune Theater ▲Yeonggune Makteoview ▲Yeonggune ZIP, increasing viewer engagement.
The first episode of ‘Gongmweongeotdeul Season 2’ will air on Thursday afternoon, April 25, through Yeongdeungpo-gu’s YouTube channel ‘Yeonggune,’ and will be produced and uploaded regularly at least twice a month.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, said, “Gongmweongeotdeul is content through which people can directly and indirectly feel and empathize with the life of public officials through vivid stories from employees.” He added, “We will break away from the stiff image of the public service sector and discover fresh content that fits current trends, showcasing the diverse charms unique to Yeongdeungpo-gu.”
