Naver Revamps Knowledge iN Service, Ending 'Question Closing Feature' and Expanding Communication Functions

Naver announced on the 25th that it has revamped its Knowledge iN service to enable users to communicate more closely with each other and participate conveniently in answer creation activities.

Through this revamp, features such as ▲ending the question closing function ▲multi-selection of multiple answers ▲unlimited additional questions and answers ▲answer voting function have been introduced. Users can now present various answers and opinions to a single question and engage in discussions. As time passes, the communication records between questioners and answerers will accumulate, which is expected to further enhance the completeness and reliability of Knowledge iN answers.

Specifically, the question closing function for Knowledge iN questions has been discontinued, and the limit on the number of accepted answers has been removed. Previously, when a questioner posted a question on Knowledge iN, other users could leave answers before the question was closed, and if the questioner was satisfied with an answer, only one answer could be accepted.

Also, if a question was closed or an answer had already been accepted, additional answers could not be posted, and further communication was possible only through the comment function. However, in the new Knowledge iN, answers can be continuously registered without closing the question. Even if an answer has already been accepted, new answers can be submitted.

Furthermore, the limits on the number of additional questions and answers have been removed, allowing questioners and answerers to communicate freely and maintain longer-term relationships. The additional question function allows the questioner to ask follow-up questions based on the received answers and receive further responses from the answerer. Previously, additional questions and answers were limited to two times each. But from now on, if the questioner has any inquiries, they can ask as many additional questions as they want, and the answerer can freely add any content they wish.

General users who have referred to Knowledge iN answers through search can now easily participate in the Q&A process through the newly added UP·DOWN voting feature.

Kang Chunsik, leader of Naver Knowledge iN, said, "Knowledge iN is the top contributor that made Naver what it is today and a service that embodies Naver’s unique philosophy of connecting users. Therefore, it is constantly evolving to keep up with newly incoming users and changing trends instead of remaining stagnant."
