An anonymous donor donated all the 10-won coins they had collected over several decades.

On the 24th, Donghae City announced that an anonymous donor had contributed a sack full of coins. The donor had been collecting 10-won coins little by little for several decades, and thanks to this, they were able to gather a total of about 6,600 coins. The amount totals 66,440 won, and the coins weigh 27 kg.

The donor, who chose to remain anonymous, said, "I donated because I wanted to help neighbors in need around me," and added, "Please deliver this to places where help is needed."

Hong Il-pyo, head of Songjeong-dong, expressed gratitude, saying, "We thank the anonymous donor for their generosity," and added, "We will convey the sincerity and meaning behind every penny collected by the donor to support neighbors who are struggling and in need."

The donated funds will be distributed to low-income households in the area according to the donor's wishes.
