Issuance Totaling 3 Billion KRW Starting from the 3rd of Next Month
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 25th that it will start selling the ‘Eunpyeong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ at a 15% discount on the 3rd of next month to alleviate the high delivery brokerage fee burden on local small business owners and allow consumers to use the public delivery app at a discounted price.
The ‘Eunpyeong Ttaenggyeoyo Gift Certificate’ is a mobile-only gift certificate usable on Eunpyeong-gu’s public delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo.’ The district will issue a total of 300 million KRW, 50 million KRW per month from next month through October. The first issuance on the 3rd of next month can be purchased on the ‘Seoulpay+’ app at a 15% discounted price, up to a maximum of 100,000 KRW per person. Subsequently, the certificates will be issued at 10 a.m. on the 1st of every month (or the next day if it is a holiday).
In September last year, Eunpyeong-gu signed a business agreement with Shinhan Bank, the operator of ‘Ttaenggyeoyo.’ Through this agreement, affiliated stores enjoy benefits such as a low brokerage fee of 2%, no advertising fees, no monthly fixed fees, and no store registration fees.
Additionally, to commemorate the launch of the ‘Eunpyeong Ttaenggyeoyo’ service, Shinhan Bank provides up to 300,000 KRW in ‘Owner Support Funds’ to affiliated stores in the area to enable marketing through issuing their own coupons.
Store registration can be applied for by accessing the ‘Ttaenggyeoyo Owner Lounge.’ The district plans to actively promote the registration procedures to related organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce and the Central Restaurant Association to ensure that many local delivery-capable businesses can benefit.
District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “I hope this helps improve small business sales and reduce household burdens in this era of high inflation,” and added, “We will do our best to operate the system to benefit both small business owners and residents.”
