President Yoon stated in English on X (formerly Twitter) that "cooperation between the two countries will bring future prosperity to all their people."
He added, "I had a great meeting with President Iohannis in Seoul," and "I hope President Iohannis's first visit to Korea will be memorable."
On the previous day, President Yoon held a summit with President Iohannis at the Yongsan Presidential Office, discussing strategic cooperation measures between the two countries in defense industry and nuclear power generation.
This visit marks President Iohannis's first visit to Korea and the first bilateral visit by a Romanian president in 16 years. In July last year, President Yoon visited Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, to attend the NATO summit, where he held a bilateral meeting with President Iohannis.
