Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Hosts 'Nuclear Power Through Sound' Tour in Commemoration of Disability Day

Invitation of Visually Impaired Groups to Enhance Understanding of Nuclear Power Plants

On the 23rd, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power's Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters hosted a tour event titled "Nuclear Power Seen Through Sound" by inviting the Ulsan Jung-gu Visually Impaired Daycare Center in celebration of the 44th Disabled Persons Day.

Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Hosts 'Nuclear Power Through Sound' Tour in Commemoration of Disability Day On the 23rd, to commemorate the 44th Disabled Persons' Day, attendees are taking a group photo at an event inviting organizations for the visually impaired.

Based on this year's slogan, "The Path Together, The Path Toward Equality," the event was planned to provide a special experience to over 20 visually impaired participants at the Wolsong Headquarters' PR center and observatory, aiming to enhance the safety and social acceptance of nuclear power plants.


The event began with a greeting from Director Kim Han-seong, followed by a special lecture and quiz event on energy and nuclear power under the theme of nuclear power licensing, conducted by Director Jang Jeong-il of External Cooperation, which received positive responses from the visitors.


Kim Han-seong, Director of Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, "I am very pleased to create an energy connection to feel the spring together with visually impaired people who usually find it difficult to go out," adding, "Wolsong Headquarters will become a company that communicates more closely with the public through social contribution activities."
