Samsung C&T Construction Division Reports Q1 Sales of 5.6 Trillion KRW and Orders of 2.4 Trillion KRW

Sales of 5.584 trillion KRW, Operating Profit of 337 billion KRW

Samsung C&T Corporation's Construction Division achieved balanced growth in both sales and operating profit compared to the same period last year, driven by strong performance in large-scale projects.

On the 24th, Samsung C&T announced that its sales for the first quarter of this year reached 5.584 trillion KRW, with an operating profit of 337 billion KRW. Sales increased by 21.4% and operating profit rose by 15.4% compared to the same period last year.

Sales by division were ▲ Architecture 4.565 trillion KRW ▲ Civil Engineering 200 billion KRW ▲ Plant 819 billion KRW. Domestic sales amounted to 3.039 trillion KRW, while overseas sales were 2.545 trillion KRW.

The order intake for the first quarter was 2.4 trillion KRW. Order amounts by division were ▲ Architecture (2.189 trillion KRW) ▲ Plant (180 billion KRW) ▲ Civil Engineering (31 billion KRW), in that order.

In the first quarter, Samsung C&T secured a contract for the Samcheok hydrogen compound power plant infrastructure project worth 100 billion KRW in the new business sector. Additionally, it won orders for the Taiwan Kaohsiung complex development (300 billion KRW), Busan Myeongnyun 2 reconstruction (200 billion KRW), and Giheung NRD-K (800 billion KRW), among others.

Samsung C&T explained, "We have maintained a balanced portfolio and efforts to improve competitiveness. With stable construction execution capabilities, the high-quality large-scale projects recently secured have begun in earnest, leading to increases in sales and operating profit compared to the same period and the previous year."

For the first quarter, Samsung C&T's overall performance recorded sales of 10.796 trillion KRW and an operating profit of 712 billion KRW. Sales increased by 5.4% and operating profit by 11.1% compared to the same period last year.
