Damyang-gun "Be Sure to Apply for Forestry Direct Payments by the 30th"

Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byeong-no) announced on the 24th that the application and reception for the 2024 Forestry and Forest Public Direct Payment (hereinafter referred to as ‘Forestry Direct Payment’) will close on the 30th.

To be eligible for the Forestry Direct Payment, applicants must apply by the 30th.

Foresters who wish to apply should submit the Forestry Direct Payment registration form and related documents to the eup/myeon office that has jurisdiction over the location of the forest land within the application period. Starting this year, applications can also be submitted online through the ‘Forestry-in Integrated Portal’.

Detailed information about the Forestry Direct Payment application can be found in the announcement on the websites of the Korea Forest Service and Damyang-gun. Additionally, inquiries can be made at the eup/myeon office of the forest land location or the Forestry Direct Payment Call Center for detailed guidance.

Once the Forestry Direct Payment application is completed, the county plans to finalize the eligible recipients around September through qualification verification and compliance checks, and then make payments in November reflecting the results.

Meanwhile, last year, Damyang-gun paid 299 million KRW to 105 foresters engaged in forest product production and afforestation.

Lee Byeong-no, Governor of Damyang-gun, said, “To prevent cases where eligible foresters miss the application period and fail to receive the direct payment, we ask all eligible foresters to visit the eup/myeon office of their forest land location or complete their application online.”
