'The Gyeonggi Pass' Applicant Kim Dong-yeon "Up to 53% Transportation Cost Refund Starting May 1"

Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon personally demonstrated the procedure for applying for the card related to the use of ‘The Gyeonggi Pass (The 경기패스)’, which will be introduced on May 1st, to promote it.

On the 24th, Governor Kim accessed the card company app on his smartphone at the provincial office and applied for The Gyeonggi Pass exclusive card, saying, "From April 24th, the long-awaited application for The Gyeonggi Pass has started. I applied for the card first thing after coming to work today before doing anything else," and added, "I hope all residents apply for The Gyeonggi Pass and enjoy many benefits."

The Gyeonggi Pass expands the monthly limit of 60 rides from the K-Pass to unlimited and refunds 20% of public transportation costs every month. In particular, young people in their 20s and 30s receive a 30% refund, and low-income groups can get up to 53% refunded. The age range for the 30% refund for youth has also been expanded from 19-34 years old to 19-39 years old. However, benefits are only available if used more than 15 times.

'The Gyeonggi Pass' Applicant Kim Dong-yeon "Up to 53% Transportation Cost Refund Starting May 1" Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon is applying for 'The Gyeonggi Pass,' which will be introduced on May 1, at his office on the 24th.

It includes all public transportation nationwide, such as metropolitan buses, the Shinbundang Line, and the GTX (Great Train Express) that opened in March this year, which are expensive public transportation means. Since it is a refund system, once registered for the first time, there is no need to recharge every month. However, transportation means that require separate ticketing, such as express buses and KTX, are not eligible for refunds.

Residents who wish to use The Gyeonggi Pass can obtain a K-Pass exclusive card (credit or debit card) through the K-Pass website (www.korea-pass.kr) or the websites of each card company (Shinhan, KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Woori, Hana, Samsung, Hyundai, BC, IBK Industrial Bank, Gwangju Bank, K-Bank, Lee Dong-ui Jeulgeoum, DGB U-Pay), and then register as a member on the K-Pass website starting May 1st.

Card applications began on the 24th. During membership registration, an automatic address verification process is conducted, and once confirmed as a Gyeonggi Province resident, The Gyeonggi Pass benefits are automatically applied.
