Busan is Great! Flowers are Great!... The 4th Busan Spring Flower Exhibition Held

May 3-6 at Busan Citizens Park Dasom, Theme: 'Busan is Great! Flowers are Great!'

Exhibition Opening Ceremony Held at 10:30 AM on the 3rd at Dasom Yard Flower Tunnel Entrance

Busan City will hold the "4th Busan Spring Flower Exhibition" from May 3 to 6 at Dasom Square in Busan Citizens Park.

This exhibition is organized to spread the culture of flowers in daily life and to offer rest and relaxation to citizens tired from their daily routines with various floral artworks.


This year, a total of 45 organizations, including the Busan Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, will participate under the theme "Busan is Great! Flowers are Great!" showcasing various types of planned exhibitions.


The event features a variety of attractions such as ▲opening ceremony ▲exhibitions of spring flower sculptures, floral works, bonsai, etc. ▲floral creative contests ▲floral experience programs ▲national flower tea competition ▲direct flower sales market, and more.


Visitors can enjoy high-quality themed displays combining flowers and sculptures, floral works by excellent florists, special exhibitions of native wildflowers and azaleas, and the Busan bonsai exhibition.


In particular, diverse floral experience programs suitable for the whole family will be offered, including floral creative contests for elementary, middle, and high school students, proposal events, succulent garden making, flower arranging experiences, and companion plant clinics.


Additionally, the city will open a direct flower sales market at the exhibition, selling flowers at farm prices to promote flower consumption and revitalize the local flower industry in Busan. The 70,000 plants used in the exhibition will also be sourced from flowers produced in the Busan area.


The opening ceremony will be held on the 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at the flower tunnel entrance of Dasom Madang in Busan Citizens Park. About 30 guests, including Kim Gwang-hoe, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, the chairman of the Korea Flower Self-Support Fund Council, and the head of Bukyung Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative, will attend the opening declaration, ribbon-cutting ceremony, and performances.


Kim Byung-gi, Director of the Marine Agriculture and Fisheries Bureau of Busan City, stated, "We plan to continuously expand the spring flower exhibition to establish a flower culture in daily life," adding, "Following this exhibition, our city will also develop citizen-participatory lifestyle floral programs to spread a healthy flower culture and create a foundation for the development of the local flower industry."
