CJ OliveNetworks Builds Smart Factory at hy Nonsan New Plant

CJ OliveNetworks announced on the 24th that it will build a smart factory incorporating the latest IT technologies at hy's new factory in Nonsan.

In 2021, CJ OliveNetworks integrated the smart factory solution 'FactoryOne' MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and 'FactoryOneHACCP' into three hy factories in Cheonan, Nonsan, and Pyeongtaek, realizing process automation, smart HACCP, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice for health functional foods).

Since then, from 2022 through last year, they have been advancing hy's smart factory in phases by introducing new systems incorporating IT innovations. They established a process system to prevent raw material misinput, supported productivity improvements through smart hygiene inspections, and digitization of documents.

Additionally, by providing AI-based solutions, they contributed to automatically diagnosing defects that may occur in factory equipment and establishing a proactive response system.

The new hy Nonsan factory will be equipped with the latest systems that consolidate the advantages of the smart factory solutions implemented at the existing Cheonan, Pyeongtaek, and Nonsan factories. CJ OliveNetworks will carry out ▲ application of the post-cultivation raw material (starter culture) misinput prevention process ▲ integration of production indicator data ▲ expansion of the probiotics production management system ▲ digitization of process logs ▲ establishment of quality temperature management system.

CJ OliveNetworks will apply the post-addition raw material misinput prevention process to the spoonable yogurt production system at the hy Nonsan new factory. Furthermore, they will implement a system that automates all process data such as daily production volume and equipment status for each product line produced at the Nonsan factory.

In addition, IoT-based temperature sensors will be installed in refrigerators and freezers on-site at the new factory to operate a real-time temperature monitoring system, thoroughly managing and maintaining the most critical temperature during hy product production and management.

Meanwhile, the smart factory solution built by CJ OliveNetworks at hy's Nonsan new factory is scheduled to officially commence operations starting in August.
