"No More Footing for Malicious Complainants"... Dobong-gu Conducts Joint Police Drill for Malicious Complaint Response

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) will conduct a joint simulation training with the Dobong Police Station by the end of this month to prepare for emergency situations such as the occurrence of malicious civil complaints.

The simulation training was promoted to protect civil service officers in charge of civil complaints from verbal abuse and assault by malicious complainants, which have been occurring frequently recently, and to prevent secondary damage to visiting complainants.

The district plans to enhance on-site response capabilities through training based on actual situations.

The training will proceed according to the manual for each situation, including ▲ calming and mediating the complainant ▲ notifying about recording ▲ evacuation of the affected officer and rapid police dispatch upon emergency bell activation ▲ subduing the offending complainant.

Previously, the district conducted the first simulation training at the Dobong-gu Office Civil Service Room on April 16, and plans to conduct training at 14 community centers by April 30.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “We will firmly respond to malicious complaints to protect the officers in charge,” and added, “We will continue regular training to create a civil service environment where both officers and complainants can visit with peace of mind.”
