'Seodaemun Nanum 1% Miracle' Branch No.7 'Namgil' Signboard

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) recently announced on the 23rd that it signed an agreement with the restaurant "Namgil" (CEO Kim Namgil) located in Chunghyeon-dong to participate in the "Seodaemun Nanum 1% Miracle Project" and held the plaque ceremony for the 7th Nanum Store.

The plaque ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Seodaemun-gu Mayor Lee Seongheon, Namgil CEO Kim Namgil, members of the local community security council, Saemaul branch, and the neighborhood leaders' council.

Jeon Younghee, head of the Saemaul Movement Seodaemun-gu branch, said, "I hope the Nanum Store that started here will become a catalyst for spreading the culture of sharing in Chunghyeon-dong, and we will actively discover Nanum Stores that can participate through the local network."

The district signs agreements with stores wishing to share, and participating businesses donate a certain portion (1%) of their profits to support vulnerable groups.

Seodaemun-gu attaches certification plaques to promote the Nanum Stores so that residents can use them more often to practice the value of sharing, and promotes them through the district newsletter and blog. Nanum Stores can also receive tax benefits for their donations.

Kim Namgil, CEO of the 7th participating store, said, "I think it is meaningful that the small sharing of small business owners can be used for welfare projects for neighbors in need, and I hope more people will join this project."

Seodaemun-gu Mayor Lee Seongheon said, "Since the first Nanum Store started last October, I am grateful that small business owners have continuously participated in donations, and we will use the meaningful funds for welfare projects for vulnerable groups."

So far, 34 Nanum Stores have expressed their intention to participate in the "Seodaemun Nanum 1% Miracle Project," and next month, a joint agreement is scheduled with 11 Nanum Stores (Nos. 22 to 32) belonging to the Chunghyeon-dong Commercial Association.
