Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Holds 'Local Contents Focused University Project Startup Supporters Launch Ceremony'

Gyeongnam Information University held the "2024 Local Content Focus University Project Startup Supporters Launch Ceremony" on the 23rd at the Minseok Memorial Hall conference room on campus.

Gyeongnam Jeonbo University held the launch ceremony for the 2024 Local Content Focused University Project Startup Supporters.

The event was attended by about 30 people, including Gyeongnam Information University President Kim Tae-sang, Yoo Cheol, director of the Busan Social Economy Support Center, Kwon Young-chul, CEO of Dandi Venture Forum, Jeon Yoo-shin, CEO of Smile F&D, related officials, department professors, and students.

The newly formed startup supporters consist of experts from local related organizations and fields such as startups, media, beauty, and baking and pastry. They plan to support the nurturing of prospective entrepreneurs based in the region and enhance the expertise of the Local Content Focus University Project.

President Kim Tae-sang said, "Through various programs involving local companies, institutions, and local creators, we will establish ourselves as a regional hub university for local startup education."

Gyeongnam Information University, selected last year for the "Local Content Focus University Project," was reselected this year due to excellent management by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The university has newly established and operates the "Local Gourmet (美食) Major," which combines the Hotel Food and Beverage Cooking Department and the Hotel Baking and Pastry Department, and the "Media & Beauty Content Major," which combines the Media Video Department and the K-Beauty Department.
