YouTuber Live Streaming in Itaewon
A Stranger Offered Chocolate...
Needle Marks Clearly Visible on the Chocolate
A mysterious foreigner hands a piece of chocolate to a YouTuber who was live streaming at a restaurant located in Itaewon. The YouTuber repeatedly expressed gratitude for the unexpected kindness, but the reactions in the chatroom were cold. Viewers warned not to eat food given by strangers. Upon inspecting the chocolate's appearance, the YouTuber discovered injection marks on its surface and urgently tried to find the foreigner who gave the chocolate, but the person had already left long ago.

On the 22nd, a video titled "Beware of Kidnapping Methods" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Binnaneun Gagyeongi'. At the time, the YouTuber was live streaming in Itaewon when a stranger handed over a piece of chocolate. It was white chocolate coated on the outside. The YouTuber thanked the foreigner and attempted to eat the chocolate, but viewers watching the broadcast warned, "If you eat that chocolate, you might get kidnapped." Hesitant, the YouTuber inspected the chocolate and found tiny injection needle holes on the bottom part of the chocolate.

The YouTuber said, "Didn't everyone see that I didn’t touch the chocolate just now?" and added, "But there is a hole in the chocolate. You can see that only the part with the hole is subtly wet." The YouTuber actually broke the chocolate in half in front of the camera and showed that only the part where the injection needle had pierced was damp and a different color from the rest.

The YouTuber expressed surprise, saying, "It would have been a big problem if I had really eaten it," and "It's a really strange method. I never imagined there would be injection marks." They continued, "The foreigner who gave me the chocolate knew I was broadcasting," explaining, "Since I was live, they went over there, unwrapped the chocolate, and then came back to hand it to me. Everyone, don’t carelessly eat anything someone gives you in Itaewon."
Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as, "The viewers saved the YouTuber," "I’m curious about what substance was injected into the chocolate. It’s best to report this," "How dare they do such things openly in a busy area," "It’s creepy that they gave the chocolate knowing it was a broadcast," "Glad you didn’t eat it," and "You should always be cautious about accepting things from strangers."
Meanwhile, on social media and online communities, suspicions have been raised that foreigners in Itaewon have been distributing drugs processed into candy or jelly shapes. Posts on X (formerly Twitter) from last year warned, "If you smell grass (a scent associated with drugs) when entering a club, avoid it," "Don’t eat anything at parties," and "Don’t accept anything from anyone on the street," which gained significant attention. Photos of colorful candies and jellies reportedly received in Itaewon were also shared. Recently, the Korea Customs Service has seized many drugs in such forms, making it necessary to exercise caution when consuming these items.
