Hamyang-gun Opens Applications for Early Retirement Support Program for Old Diesel Vehicles A view of Hamyang County Office.

The subsidy support targets are old diesel vehicles rated 4th and 5th grade, road-use construction machinery (dump trucks, concrete mixer trucks, concrete pump trucks) manufactured under emission standards applied before August 31, 2009, forklifts and excavators manufactured before December 31, 2004, and the vehicles must have been continuously registered in Hamyang for more than six months as of the application date.

Also, unlike last year, 4th grade diesel vehicles equipped with a reduction device (DPF) at the time of release are eligible for support. The subsidy amount varies depending on the vehicle type and year, and additional subsidies can be received when purchasing a vehicle that meets the conditions after scrappage along with the scrappage subsidy.

Applications can be submitted by visiting the Environmental Sanitation Division of the county office with an ID card and vehicle registration certificate, or through the automobile emission website or registered mail by May 10. Detailed schedules can be confirmed through the announcement on Hamyang-gun’s official website.

If selected as a subsidy recipient, the vehicle must undergo a condition inspection within two months from the selection date, receive a normal operation judgment, be scrapped, and then the scrappage subsidy must be claimed. The additional vehicle purchase subsidy can be claimed after registering a new vehicle within four months from the selection date.
