On the 23rd, Seongsan District Office of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, signed a cooperation agreement with Heeyeon Nursing Hospital for the 2024 Medical Aid Project, including the Home Medical Aid Project.
The Home Medical Aid Project is designed to help medical aid recipients who are hospitalized without a strong need for long-term hospitalization receive appropriate services at their residence, facilitating smooth social reintegration and settlement.
This agreement was established to ensure the successful implementation of the nationwide Home Medical Aid pilot project, which has been conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare since June 2019 and will be expanded nationwide from the second half of this year, as well as the ‘Medical Aid Recipient Healing Program’ implemented as an innovative project in Seongsan District.
The main contents of this agreement include ▲assessment of the needs of home medical aid recipients ▲establishment and adjustment of care plans ▲medical, welfare, and nutrition counseling and monitoring ▲intensive education and counseling ▲support for the healing program for new recipients.
According to the agreement, Heeyeon Nursing Hospital will form a care team as a cooperating medical institution to support services in the medical field for medical aid recipients, including establishing care plans, monitoring, intensive education, and counseling. Seongsan District will support the stable settlement of recipients in the local community through overall project management and administrative support.
Kim Suhong, Director of Heeyeon Nursing Hospital, said, “I hope this agreement ceremony will help medical aid recipients who have been discharged return to the community. We will continue to carry out various social contribution activities for the local community.”
Yoo Jaejun, Mayor of Seongsan District Office, said, “We thank Heeyeon Nursing Hospital for actively cooperating in promoting the nationwide Home Medical Aid Project. We will continue to focus on providing more interest and support for medical aid recipients returning to the community.”
