'Tasman' Exclusive Camouflage Cover Unveiled
Collaboration with Richard Boyd Dunlop
Australia's Sunset and Desert Captured in Stunning Patterns
A dedicated camouflage wrap has been created for Kia's first pickup truck, the 'Tasman.'
On the 23rd, Kia unveiled the exclusive camouflage wrap for the Tasman, created in collaboration with renowned artist Richard Boyd Dunlop, famous in the Australia and New Zealand regions.
This wrap embodies the spirit of adventure under the theme 'The Road Not Yet Taken.' It features vibrant patterns abstracting Australia's land and sea, sunset hues, and surfing culture. Karim Habib, Vice President of Kia Global Design, said, "The Tasman is a vehicle that reflects Kia's commitment to innovation and adventurous spirit. We aimed to project the core identity of the Tasman?its adventurous spirit?into the camouflage design."
Richard Boyd Dunlop, who designed the wrap, stated in an interview video released by Kia, "This bold and striking collaboration visually expresses the solidarity, joy, and adventurous spirit inherent in Australia's landscapes and culture. I look forward to many people traveling along the road not yet taken with the Tasman and finding inspiration."
Meanwhile, Kia plans to sequentially launch the mid-size pickup truck Tasman starting in 2025 in South Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East. The vehicle's name, Tasman, is inspired by Tasmania, known as the 'Island of Inspiration' at Australia's southernmost point, and the Tasman Sea.
