At this extraordinary session, the Shared Property Management Plan to receive as a donation 12 parcels of land totaling 3,998㎡ at 300-2 Gorim-dong, Cheoin-gu, valued at approximately 6.65 billion KRW, for the library site was approved as originally proposed. This donation is in accordance with the Gorim Jindeok District unit plan decided in 2017.
The city plans to receive the land as a donation from the project implementer, M·E·H Co., Ltd., by August and construct the 'Yurim-dong Library (tentative name)' by 2028 following the approval of the Shared Property Management Plan.
The 'Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Management and Operation of Yongin Natural Recreation Forest,' which includes provisions to reduce some usage fees for multi-child families and parking fees for eco-friendly vehicles, was also passed and is scheduled to take effect from the 10th of next month. Due to the amendment, the criteria for the number of children in multi-child families eligible for discounted accommodation and admission fees will be relaxed from 3 or more to 2 or more. Currently, Yongin Natural Recreation Forest offers a 30% discount on weekday off-season accommodation fees for multi-child families. The ordinance amendment also reduces parking fees by 50% for vehicles displaying eco-friendly vehicle stickers and newly imposes parking fees on two-wheeled vehicles.
The 'Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Fostering and Support of Small and Medium Enterprises in Yongin City,' which includes the establishment of a 'Corporate Support Committee' to deliberate and advise on SME support policies, was also approved. The Corporate Support Committee will be chaired by Ryu Gwang-yeol, the first deputy mayor, and composed of 8 ex officio members including the Director of the Job and Industry Bureau, and up to 7 appointed members.
