Jungnang Yangwon Media Center Opens... Various Special Lectures and More Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is holding various media special lectures and events to commemorate the opening of the Jungnang Yangwon Media Center.

The Jungnang Yangwon Media Center, the district's second media space following the Jungnang Myeonmok Media Center, opened its doors on March 15. This center offers various media experiences, education, equipment rental, and support for creative activities.

To celebrate the opening, from April 26 to May 24, special media lectures will be held on topics including ▲independent film production ▲live commerce ▲AI (artificial intelligence) ▲YouTube management.

The first lecture on April 26 is titled "Into the Charm of Film: Independent Film Directing and What Films Convey." It will be conducted by independent film director Kim Jin-yu, who directed works such as "High Jump" and "I Am Bori," and has won awards at domestic and international film festivals including the German Schlingel International Film Festival. The lecture will delve deeply into stories from the film set, the production of "I Am Bori," and the social role and significance of Korean cinema.

On May 3, instructor Kim Jin-hee, a show host and live commerce expert, will give a lecture titled "Introduction to Live Commerce: Learning the Magic of Selling Live." The lecture will explain the basic concepts of live commerce, market outlook, essential platform requirements, and preparations small business owners need to know.

The third lecture will be held on May 16. Kim Yong-hee, an adjunct professor at Kyung Hee University Graduate School of Media Communication, will lecture on "Drawing the Future with AI: From Chatbots to Media Innovation."

The final lecture on May 24 will be led by Ha Ji-won, the representative of the YouTube channel "Bido Class" with 500,000 subscribers, titled "First Steps on YouTube with 500,000 YouTuber Hajun: Secrets of a Long-Lasting Channel." The lecture will cover YouTube planning, methods to maintain a long-lasting channel, and content production strategies.

All lectures are free of charge, and applications can be made on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 50 people through the Jungnang Yangwon Media Center website.

Additionally, from April 16 to 30, the district will hold a "Cinema Nofil" viewing certification photo event. After watching a movie at the "Cinema Nofil" theater in the Jungnang Yangwon Media Center, participants can take a certification photo and upload it to their personal SNS with hashtags. Then, by filling out and submitting the event application form on the media center’s website, 100 participants will be selected to receive a small mobile gift certificate.

Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said, "I hope this special lecture series will help people acquire in-depth knowledge in the media field and enjoy cultural richness," adding, "As this event commemorates the opening of the Yangwon Media Center, I ask for much interest and participation in the media center and these special lectures."
