Opening of Artificial Rock Climbing Wall to Enhance Residents' Physical Fitness and Promote Healthy Leisure Activities
Rock Climbing Program Operated Every Wednesday to Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM
Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced that it will open the Baebongsan Artificial Rock Climbing Wall again this year to promote residents' physical fitness and expand healthy leisure activities.
The Baebongsan Artificial Rock Climbing Wall, established in 2017, is 7 meters high and operates from April to October. The rock climbing program runs every Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where beginners can safely enjoy climbing by learning equipment usage, practical training, and advanced moves from professional instructors.
The artificial rock climbing wall is available for individual and group use, and applications are accepted on-site at any time. The usage fee is free of charge. For more details, please contact the Urban Planning Division.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "Artificial rock climbing is an exercise that improves physical fitness regardless of age and helps develop concentration, adventurous spirit, and a sense of achievement," adding, "I hope residents enjoy an active leisure life at the artificial rock climbing wall and the Hwangtotgil trail in Baebongsan."
