Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the '2024 Lifelong Learning Talent Donation Instructor Inauguration Ceremony' at the Gwangjin-gu Lifelong Learning Center on the 19th.

Seventy-eight 'Gwangjin Gosu' (Gwangjin's True Masters) were appointed to spread the wisdom and experience gained in life evenly throughout the local community through talent donation.

Gwangjin Gosu is a talent donation program where individuals share their expertise, skills, and talents with neighbors to learn and grow together. It started in 2022 as a volunteer activity in the form of talent donation to create a virtuous cycle of learning and sharing.

Talent donation instructors are active in various fields such as ▲literacy for daily life ▲experiential activities ▲citizen participation ▲life skills ▲job know-how. They conduct lectures at institutions with learning demands such as learning centers, local children's centers, and adult literacy education institutions, aiming for 300 sessions this year.

Residents interested in talent donation can register through the Gwangjin-gu Office website, and for more details, they can contact the Education Support Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.

The event proceeded in the order of opening remarks, certificate presentation, greetings, commemorative photo, and talent donation lectures. In particular, the lectures on positive psychology happiness communication methods and making sea glass memo holders received great responses from participants.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I thank all the Gwangjin Gosu who participated for the growth of the local community and look forward to their active activities," adding, "We will continue to support the expansion of talent donation activities through customized lifelong learning policies."
