On the 22nd (local time), at Harbour Town Golf Links (par 71, 7,213 yards) in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, USA, Scheffler lost one stroke over the remaining three holes of the 4th round of the PGA Tour RBC Heritage (total prize money $20 million) but secured a commanding win by 3 strokes (19-under 265). This marked his second consecutive win following last week's Masters victory. It was his 4th win of the season and 10th career victory, with a prize of $3.6 million (approximately 5 billion KRW).
The previous day, Scheffler halted play after making par on the 15th hole (par 5) due to bad weather and sunset. He made par on the 16th hole (par 4) and 17th hole (par 3), but bogeyed the final 18th hole (par 4). Scheffler has shown a steep upward trajectory this season. He has played in 10 tournaments this year, finishing in the top 10 nine times, including four wins. His worst finish was a tie for 17th at the American Express in January. In his last five tournaments, his results were ‘win-win-tied 2nd-win-win’.
Sahith Theegala finished 2nd (16-under 268), Wyndham Clark and Patrick Cantlay tied for 3rd (15-under 269), and Justin Thomas and J.T. Poston (both USA) tied for 5th place (14-under 270). Among Koreans, Im Sung-jae posted the best result, tied for 12th (11-under 273). Kim Joo-hyung and Kim Si-woo tied for 18th (9-under 275). Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) tied for 33rd (7-under 277), and An Byeong-hun finished 67th (2-over 286).
