On the same day, Cho said at the 'General Election Victory Report Meeting' held at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Wansan-gu, Jeonju, Jeonbuk, “On my way to Jeonju, I heard news about the preparation for a meeting with President Yoon. I would like to take this opportunity to respectfully request Leader Lee.”
He said, “If the opposition leaders meet before the meeting to gather consensus, it will carry greater weight,” and added, “I hope that we can exchange candid opinions regarding laws and policies reflecting the public sentiment from the general election.”
He continued, “If Leader Lee meets President Yoon as the representative of the opposition, the Democratic Party will represent not 175 seats but the opposition's 192 seats,” and added, “I dare say, Leader Lee should now become the representative of the 192 seats.”
He also said, “Without becoming complacent in front of the valuable result of winning the general election, we will proceed more humbly and calmly on the next path together,” and added, “With the power of the party members who have united their will, twelve ships (12 proportional representation winners) have been prepared to bring an early end to prosecutorial dictatorship.”
