The Chungnam Office of Education announced on the 22nd that it will fully implement Neulbom School in all elementary schools starting from the second semester.
Last year, the Office of Education conducted a pilot operation of Neulbom School in 72 schools. In the first semester of this year, 119 Neulbom Schools are operating customized programs for first-grade elementary students, with 8,900 students participating.
In the upcoming second semester, it will be fully implemented in 422 elementary schools across the province. To reduce teachers' workload, 240 dedicated personnel for Neulbom School operations will be hired to establish a dedicated management system.
Small-scale schools will receive integrated support centered on the Education Support Office's Neulbom Support Center. A standardized work manual and work management system will be developed to complete the dedicated support system. Neulbom base centers in the Chungnam style will be established in Cheonan and Boryeong and are planned to be fully operational starting next year.
Shin Kyung-hee, Director of the Education Bureau, said, "We will hire and assign 240 dedicated personnel in preparation for the full implementation in the second semester," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the Chungnam-style Neulbom School is firmly established in the field."
