Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the 'Mapo River Cleanup Volunteer Launch Ceremony' held at the Seongsancheon Riverside Stage on the morning of the 22nd.
At this launch ceremony, 23 members including Jeong Jae-ho, President of the Mapo District Veterans Association, Kang Myung-sook, President of the Korea Freedom Federation Mapo Branch, and 23 members, as well as local district council members, gathered to create a clean river.
After reaffirming their commitment to the activities at the launch ceremony, Mayor Park Gang-su and the participants took commemorative photos and carried out river cleanup activities by collecting trash around Seongsancheon.
In his greeting, Mayor Park Gang-su said, "I sincerely thank everyone for participating in our district's river cleanup activities despite your busy schedules," and added, "Mapo District continuously removes odors and maintains facilities for a clean river environment, and will continue to create a pleasant and attractive riverside space for the residents."
