Spring Vibes Abound... 'Yeongyang Agricultural Products Dessert Education' Conducted

2024 Regional Rural Resource Development Training

Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Oh Do-chang) will conduct a total of 5 sessions, totaling 15 hours, from April 22 to May 27 at the Yeongyang-gun Agricultural Technology Center, providing "Yeongyang Agricultural Product Dessert Education" using wild edible greens as the main ingredient for 15 rural women in the area.

This education program is designed to coincide with the Wild Edible Greens Festival and includes easy-to-follow recipes such as Eosuri Tigre made with Yeongyang wild greens, wild greens and scallion scones, and wild greens salt bread with lemon added to basic salt bread, which can be easily made at home.

Kim, a participant in the education, said, "I have eaten wild greens as side dishes, but it was very new to use them in desserts, and I was surprised that they were much more delicious than I expected. It’s not very difficult, so I will definitely try making them again at home."

Jo Yong-wan, director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "Through this education, we hope to inform local residents about various ways to use wild edible greens and that what they learn will be well utilized to bring vitality to their daily lives."
