KBI Group formed a delegation led by Vice Chairman Han-Sang Park, including President Byung-Je Kim, who oversees the materials business division, and related executives. The delegation met with Dharma Raja, the founder and president of Epitomi, in Taylor, Texas, where they successfully signed the MOU.
Through this MOU, KBI Group plans to accelerate KBI Construction's entry into the U.S. market and participation in potential U.S. real estate development projects. They also expect to gather development information and reduce investment risks in U.S. regions including Taylor. In particular, they will focus on close collaboration for real estate development near Samsung Semiconductor’s factory in Taylor. Furthermore, they will concentrate their efforts on projects related to securing sites for real estate development and renewable energy plant construction, such as solar power, across the United States.
Vice Chairman Han-Sang Park stated, "With this MOU, KBI Construction will take a leading role in real estate development throughout the United States and carry out various projects through synergy among KBI Group affiliates. We aim to serve as a catalyst to help member companies of the Korea Construction Association enter the U.S. market to overcome the domestic construction industry crisis." Vice Chairman Park was inaugurated as the 25th president of the Gyeongsangbuk-do chapter of the Korea Construction Association in June last year.
