Holding the Mid-Term Report Meeting for the Local Food Plan Establishment Study
Presenting Core Strategies and Action Tasks through Jindo-gun's Unique Local Foods
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do held the 'Interim Report Meeting on the Research Service for Establishing the Jindo-gun Local Food Plan' at the county office conference room on the 19th.
According to the county on the 22nd, the report meeting formed a consensus among stakeholders on the food system establishment through analysis of the current status of Jindo-gun's food and related markets, including planned production, accessibility, safety management, and operation management, and gathered opinions to reflect practical issues.

Under the vision of stabilizing farm income and ensuring healthy food for residents, eight major promotion strategies and 20 policy tasks were presented for establishing the Jindo-gun local food plan.
The Jindo-gun local food plan includes the entire process of production, processing, distribution, and consumption of agricultural and marine food products produced locally.
The county plans to establish a comprehensive plan to guarantee the basic right to food for residents, such as customized food production and supply, and ensuring fresh and safe food, as well as to build a sustainable food production system.
Furthermore, the establishment of the Jindo-gun local food plan holds great significance from the perspective of revitalizing the local economy, including securing stable sales channels for small-scale farmers and fishermen, supporting the settlement of returnees to farming and rural areas, and creating jobs.
County Governor Kim Hee-su stated, “For the comprehensive food plan to be well implemented, continuous communication, cooperation, and execution strategies are important,” and added, “We will do our best to establish a food plan unique to Jindo so that all residents can be guaranteed healthy and safe food.”
