President Yoon Suk-yeol said on the 22nd, "As uncertainties from the Middle East, such as recent oil price instability, are increasing, I hope you will communicate with the public and respond carefully to stabilize people's livelihoods."
President Yoon made this request during his regular meeting with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo on the same day, according to a written briefing by Lee Do-woon, the presidential office's chief public relations officer.
On the 14th, President Yoon also presided over an "Emergency Economic and Security Meeting on the Middle East Situation" at the Yongsan Presidential Office and instructed the intensive operation of an intergovernmental analysis and management system related to international oil prices, energy supply and demand, and supply chains.
