Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is hosting the Small but Certain Happiness (So-hwak-haeng) Sharing Market, where happiness is exchanged through sharing.
According to Nam-gu on the 22nd, the 2024 So-hwak-haeng Sharing Market will open for the first time on the 27th at Baegun Plaza Street Food Zone and will be held a total of four times in May, September, and October.
The event aims to develop the Baegun Plaza area as a hub for the sharing economy and sharing culture, and to promote active communication among local residents by concentrating cultural performances, various experiences, and exhibition works based on resource recycling.
The So-hwak-haeng Sharing Market features five sharing sections: item sharing, exhibition sharing, information sharing, experience sharing, and performance sharing.
Especially this year, the sharing market will expand the experience, information, and performance sharing sections compared to last year to allow more residents to participate and enjoy the joy of sharing.
The 1st So-hwak-haeng Sharing Market will take place on the 27th from 2 PM to 6 PM around the Street Food Zone.
In the item sharing section, participants can sell their personal belongings, handmade products, and secondhand goods, while the exhibition section showcases the results of various programs conducted by local dong administrative welfare centers to activate resident autonomy.
The experience sharing, information sharing, and performance sharing sections offer sure ways to enjoy small happiness.
First, in the experience sharing section, visitors can enjoy 10 types of free experiences including tarot card readings, life photo booths, and caricatures.
The performance sharing section features busking by singers Jini-rang and Han-gil-ro, balloon stunts, and a bubble magic show, while the information sharing section provides various policy information on mental health, local taxes, youth shelters, and more.
A Nam-gu official said, "This year’s So-hwak-haeng Sharing Market will be held with various unique stories for each session," and added, "We ask for the interest and participation of local residents."
