Gwangju Seo-gu Conducts Management Professional Consulting for General and Rest Restaurants

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) is launching professional management consulting for 30 general and casual dining restaurants struggling with business difficulties due to the economic downturn.


Seo-gu announced on the 22nd that it secured a project budget of 50 million KRW after being selected for a public project by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and will conduct customized consulting after preliminary diagnosis for each establishment.

The consulting areas include three main fields: ▲ management such as cost analysis and profit and loss management ▲ promotion and marketing such as online and offline marketing, storytelling, and design development ▲ menu improvement such as taste enhancement, new menu development, menu analysis, and strengthening product competitiveness. The consulting will be conducted through 3 to 5 on-site visits per establishment.


Seo-gu plans to hold expert lectures on common interests of business operators, such as management strategies, mindset enhancement, and marketing secrets, targeting restaurants that complete the consulting program.


Additionally, during the consulting process, Seo-gu will support the selection of local alleyway restaurants for capable dining establishments and help form networks with graduates of the Master of Business Academy, aiming for practical policy implementation.


Applicants must have been operating in Seo-gu for more than six months after registering their business as of the announcement date. Applications along with required documents must be submitted by email or in person to the Health and Hygiene Division of Seo-gu Office by the 3rd of next month.
