'Gachi Gondo,' operated by the Anseong Citizen Activity Integrated Support Group's Public Interest Activity Support Center, was selected last year in the Gyeonggi Province community hub space creation project competition. The city remodeled a 56-pyeong area with 100 million KRW from the provincial government and about 84 million KRW from the city budget.
Gachi Gondo includes meeting and education rooms sized for 40, 30, and 10 people, as well as a citizen lounge. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Among these, Gachi Ieum (30-person room) and Gachi Bom (10-person room) can be used after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays with prior arrangement. The citizen lounge, 'Gachi Hyu,' is available to anyone without reservation from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays. The lounge also provides a workspace with a multifunction printer and Wi-Fi for laptop use.
Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said in a greeting, "'Gachi Gondo' is a shared space long desired by the residents of Gondo-eup," and added, "We hope this will help build a unique community in Gondo."
