Yeongam-gun Supports Youth Food Trucks Featuring Local Tourist Attractions

Recruiting 5 People for Food Content... Priority Sales Rights Provided for Various Festivals

Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seung-hee) is recruiting five young food truck operators to operate at major local tourist attractions until the 10th of next month.

According to the county on the 22nd, this recruitment is part of a comprehensive plan to foster food content, supporting the convenience of tourists and the activities of young entrepreneurs. Those selected as operators will have priority rights to operate at designated locations during various events in Yeongam-gun for the next two years.

The food truck operation locations include Gichan Land, where the summer water playground opens and the autumn chrysanthemum festival is held; the Wangin Park Historic Site, the venue for the Wangin Culture Festival during the spring cherry blossom season; and Yeongam Sports Complex, where various sports events take place.

Youth aged 19 to 49 who are residents of Yeongam-gun as of the application date are eligible to participate in the recruitment. Detailed information about the recruitment can be found in the ‘Notices’ section on the Yeongam-gun website, and interested youth can visit the Yeongam-gun Food Hygiene Team to submit their application documents.

A county official stated, “We will support making Yeongam-gun’s signature food trucks an opportunity for youth and a convenience for tourists at Yeongam’s major tourist attractions.”
