‘Late Surge’ Kim Seong-hyun Ties for 36th... Hosel Claims 8th Career Win Kim Seong-hyun

On the 21st (local time), at the Corales Puntacana Championship (total prize money $4 million) of the PGA Tour held at Puntacana Resort & Club (Par 72, 7,670 yards) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Kim shot 3-under par in the 4th round to finish tied for 36th place (9-under par 279). This is the best result among Korean players. He recorded 6 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey. The Puntacana Championship mainly featured players who did not participate in the Signature event RBC Heritage held during the same period, competing to showcase their skills.

Billy Horschel (USA) swept up 1 eagle and 7 birdies without any bogeys. Starting the day in 5th place, 3 strokes behind, he achieved a come-from-behind victory (23-under par 265). This ended his nearly two-year win drought since the Memorial Tournament in June 2022. This is his 8th PGA Tour win, with a winner's prize of $720,000 (approximately 1 billion KRW).

Wesley Bryan finished 2nd (21-under par 267), Kevin Tway 3rd (19-under par 269), and Charlie Hoffman and Justin Lower (both USA) tied for 4th (18-under par 270). Kim Chan tied for 6th (16-under par 272), and Michael Kim (USA) tied for 14th (13-under par 275). Lee Kyung-hoon lost one stroke and dropped from tied 19th the previous day to tied 40th (8-under par 280). Kang Sung-hoon and Bae Sang-moon were cut off.
