On the 21st (local time), at the Corales Puntacana Championship (total prize money $4 million) of the PGA Tour held at Puntacana Resort & Club (Par 72, 7,670 yards) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Kim shot 3-under par in the 4th round to finish tied for 36th place (9-under par 279). This is the best result among Korean players. He recorded 6 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double bogey. The Puntacana Championship mainly featured players who did not participate in the Signature event RBC Heritage held during the same period, competing to showcase their skills.
Billy Horschel (USA) swept up 1 eagle and 7 birdies without any bogeys. Starting the day in 5th place, 3 strokes behind, he achieved a come-from-behind victory (23-under par 265).
